Too damn expensive. Its 2.5 times the price of the regular edition. That is not worth an extra $90.

Well I suppose if you have Amazon Prime the 20% discount would leave the price at $120. An extra $60 isn’t too bad.

Yeah, Bandai-Namco is going waaaay overboard with these lately (see: the new SAO game). I usually don’t go above $90 for a CE.

January is full of releases in 2017. Bamco is pretty good when it comes to collector’s editions even if they are a tad bit expensive.

I can’t help but wish that the things that CAN be digital (game, music CD, strategy guide, novel) should be sold as part of a PC digital deluxe.

So many games in Jan-Feb months… I’ll just stock up on provisions and lock my doors for 4-6 months just to finish everything. And no sleep. Sleep is for suckers.

Amazon’s allotment is spent it seems. I got a pre-order in on the Namco website. Little more pricey that way sadly.. but.. oh well.

Brandon what’s the source for this? Are you extrapolating the PC version’s release date from info about the PS4 version?

As far as I can tell, only the PS4 version is confirmed for January so far. Wouldn’t surprise me if the PC version was a bit later, because while it’s true many publishers have gotten better at day-1 PC releases the majority still prefer or maintain a distinct delay for “reasons.”

Seeing as this already a prequel and the story ends with plot elements wrapped up, that won’t be the case here. This is a new director who a has done a great many thing differently, all for the better.

Considering it’s Bandai Namco, I won’t touch the PC port with a ten foot pole.

Sweet we finally got a date.
I’ll be getting the standard edition, I’m not big on getting collectors editions since it’s just some extra crap to raise the price, and especially in the case of big name games like this it’s going to be expensive enough on its own to begin with.

They could’ve cut the trading cards and the glorified nendos, and put an honest to goodness, somewhat decent Velvet figure in there instead for around the same price.

Though I live in bananaland so there’s no way in hell and back I’d be able to buy and bring one of these things home anyway. And if I did, the theoretical figure would probably be missing all of its limbs by the time it takes to get to me.

I live in a small apartment so I don’t have room for this stuff but I’ll spend a lot of money on DLC again I’m sure. Game looks hot.

It’s the bespoke chibi figures adding to the bulk of the price.

It’s almost exactly like the Zestiria LE which I guess is kinda the point. Doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t as enticing to get the 2nd time around.

What so Hyperbole about it, because it did happen.

Now just wait fo see the downgraded european version with a higher price point. Cause in the end U.S release will get more content and european one get’s less.

the cheapest place (mhtoyshop) has her up for pre-order at $89 + $7 of shipping

so the game on release + this figure will cost you $156 dollars, so for $6 extra dollars you get a better quality figure, if I was getting the CE for the mini nendoroid knockoffs only, I’ll reconsider it.

  34. Migi

And then there is the Fucked up thing that this figure has exclusive parts thanks to Kotobukiya greed.

  37. malbhet
    October 9, 2016 at 10:28 am

What’s the point if the story was already pasted on youtube like a billion times already!? This is why releasing popular games in the west at the same time as Japan releases is a must, that way the story isn’t spoiled for everyone.

    8-Bit retro keychain set

This seems kind of odd given that there has never been an 8bit Tales game.
