Rumor: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel Reveal Coming

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel Reveal

A new rumor is suggesting not only is a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel in development, it’ll get revealed before E3 2022.

The various sources on the rumor suggest a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel will be revealed before E3 2022, and that while it’s targeted for a 2022 release window, it could slip into 2023 as development on the game is tight. Furthermore, the game will mostly likely not be called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, instead it will have a new subtitle.

The rumor is being corroborated by Gamesbeat reporter Jeff Grubb and Bespin Bulletin, the latter of which accurately predicted the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake months ahead of its official reveal.

While Grubb suggests a reveal could happen on May 4th (a popular unofficial holiday/marketing scheme for Star Wars fans to celebrate), it could be sometime before the usual June timeline for when E3 is typically hosted. Another time it could be revealed is during the fan-focused Star Wars Celebration, which runs from May 26 to 29.

Bespin Bulletin says their sources claim the reveal will more than likely come during the latter fan convention, that “the goal is to officially unveil footage at Star Wars Celebration 2022.”

Reportedly, the sources also said last year “Respawn intended to debut footage from the sequel to Fallen Order at Celebration next year,” and that this “appears to be the plan still at this time.”

The game is tentatively set for a 2022 release window with Electronic Arts publishing and Respawn Entertainment developing once again, but it could slip into 2023.

Lastly, the rumors suggest the game will also drop a numbered sequel title in lieu of a new subtitle, and it will supposedly have returning characters “some with larger roles” and some “exciting existing Star Wars characters that weren’t featured in the first installment.”

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been available for Windows PC (via Steam and Origin), Xbox One Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review on the game here!
