Nintendo have dropped a six minute overview trailer for the expansion prequel of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Torna: The Golden Country.
Even though the trailer is in Japanese, there may still be elements in the trailer that act as spoilers for events in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
The expansion seems to be a stand-alone expansion, as explained in the full rundown from Nintendo:
Available as DLC in the Expansion Pass or as a stand-alone Retail Version
Guide a group of legendary warriors on a journey through the tragic history that doomed a kingdom and drove a hero down a dark path 500 years before the events of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game. Defend yourself from Malos and his forces using all the fury of this refined battle system, allowing you to fight as both the artificial lifeforms known as Blades and their masters, the Drivers.
- Does not include the main Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game.
- Contains download code for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass. Expansion Pass only playable with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game (sold separately).
Torna: The Golden Country will be available digitally on September 14th. The physical edition will be available the same day in Europe and on September 21st in North America.
