Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash Heads to PC on March 7

XSEED Games has announced a PC port for Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash.

The wet-and-wild third-person shooter will launch for Windows PC (via Steam) on March 7th. Pre-orders are already available over on the game’s Steam page, where a pre-order will net you a 15% discount over the regular 10% launch week discount.

All pre-orders include the “Eternal Summer Camisole” DLC, which is an exclusive pre-order bonus for 4 weeks prior to being made available separately for $3.99/€3.99/£2.99. XSEED will also offer two DLC costumes – the “Clean-Up Maid (Mint)” and “Clean-Up Maid (Marine Blue)”, alongside the “Special First-Print Pack” for free to all players during the first four weeks. These DLC packs will be sold later as the  “Clean-Up Maid Pack” for $9.99, €9.99, and £6.99.

There will be a standard edition ($39.99/€39.99/£29.99), and a “Sexy Soaker” special edition ($49.99/€49.99/£39.99), which comes with digital extras like the soundtrack, the Soaking Wet High School Uniform costume, a set of colorful bikini costumes, the Futomaki Roll Bazooka special weapon, a Bebeby pet card, and a special set of skill cards.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that all post-launch downloadable characters from the console release are planned to be available at launch, and this is the first time the game will truly have worldwide multiplayer support.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is now available for PlayStation 4, worldwide. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).

Fuck yeah. I’ve been looking forward to the PC version since I refuse to pay a tax for multiplayer.

Couldn’t just put all $400 worth of DLC directly into the PC port with no extra charge, huh?

Tell me: is it even worth purchasing these games on console, anymore? I seem to be screwed over the hardest with this DLC shit, and I’m honestly getting sick of it.

And now I’m back to only having one reason to buy a Bloodborne Station. At this rate, I may never buy another console.

Peach splash is made with UE4 so it will be very difficult to make it a bad port.

    Sony related bullshit.

Seeing how this game is made with UE4 it should have came to PC as soon as it came to the west. Mostlikely Sony’s doing. Well better late than never.

The online for PC will be worldwide unlike the console verison so that will not be an issue. The game is buggy on the PS4?

More like the game was dead online and only two weapons were worth using. I think I just expected too much from this being the next Splatoon lol.

We take forever to localize and port our games, but we announce them no more than 2 months in advance so that you remain hyped to play them!

Shame I don’t really use Steam anymore though. Its kinda weird for Xseed to not offer it on GoG; when they do ports of games they very often include them on GoG as well. Its a bit disappointing.

So this doesn’t have all the DLC? What a shame. I was hoping it would have something similar to the PC port of Valkyrie Drive.

So is this actually a decent game or is it just selling because of fan service?

I’m getting more sick of the DLC practices of the SK games in general. Especially in this game since the DLC ability cards are actually pretty P2W.

How is the single player for this in your opinion? I don’t care for multiplayer but if I can just have a lot of mods and some compelling moveset in a shooter.

    February 17, 2018 at 1:27 pm

It could also just be waiting so they can get people to double dip on a physical/digital console release and a digital release on PC (still have to pay for all DLC for most SK games on Steam IIRC).

Only Shinovi Versus and Bon Appetit have all of the content included in the initial purchase, not even Valkyrie Drive.

I think it should be a standard to include all content in ports (and localisations – but that’s my hot take) excluding consumables which shouldn’t exist at all.

Agreed. Also I know VD didn’t come with the DLC right off the bat but at least they had a single DLC package.

I had an absolute blast with the singleplayer. The story was pretty decent. As for moveset, you’ve mostly just got jet dashes. Whether those be vertical or horizontal, but those are your best ways of darting around the arenas to get into range to shoot and dodge enemy attacks. There’s quite a few different weapons to use though, which have a couple of different variations on how the jet dashing works. Some will let you jet dash or hover until your water gauge runs out while others are more like short bursts. Each weapon has two shot-types too, that can switched on the fly. Then there’s the deck system as well, where you prepare a loadout of cards to use in the battle, as they replace Ninja Arts in this game.

It’s addicting, to say in the least.
Go watch some gameplay of it to see what all I mean.
