RimWorld can reverse its ban in Australia

RimWorld can reverse its ban in Australia, news confirmed by developer Ludeon Studios after its recent ban in Australia,

Getting denied by the Australian Classification Review Board results in a ban on consoles and a removal from digital stores, including Steam. Refusal of Classification is not new in Australia with titles like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Wasteland 3, Mary Skelter 2, and Disco Elysium – The Final Cut getting banned in past, except in those cases they remained for purchase on Steam.

While RimWorld can reverse its ban in Australia, the country’s government announced the Classification Review Board announced that they had received an application to review RimWorld‘s classification on February 28, 2022. The application is scheduled for review by the board on Wednesday April 20, 2022.

The board also detailed actions that can be taken by organizations and individuals here.

If an individual or organisation wishes to apply for standing as an interested party to this review, please write to the Convenor of the Review Board. The names of interested parties will be disclosed in the Review Board’s final decision report, unless requested otherwise.
