Postal 3 gets removed from sale and Postal’s original devs couldn’t be happier

Postal 3

The widely-panned sequel Postal 3 has been abruptly removed from sale, and original Postal creators Running With Scissors couldn’t be happier.

“With Postal 3’s DRM issues and overall shittiness of the game itself, the game is officially no longer being sold on Steam,” the developer announced on Twitter.

They added, “We didn’t have control over the page, so we couldn’t make it free before the DRM issues began. At least people will no longer buy that trash!”

RWS didn’t go into further details outside the above statements, but most of the games Steam reviews prior to being removed from sale essentially confirm the game wasn’t even playable – as it still relied on that DRM.

It’s worth pointing out that the game’s removal from sale was only on Steam, which while being the most popular PC gaming storefront – you can still find Postal 3 on other digital stores. That is, if you want to subject yourself to pain and suffering.

Considering original developer Akella went bankrupt nearly right after the game released, the fact that its original DRM servers are seemingly nonexistent/nonfunctional now makes sense. From launch until now, it seems no one really enjoyed the game, not even longtime fans of the series.

The latest game, POSTAL 4, has been available on Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and Green Man Gaming).
