• Picture Element Files for Bankruptcy

    Visual effects company Picture Element has confirmed they’ve formally entered bankruptcy proceedings.

    The company began their bankruptcy proceedings on September 18th through the Tokyo District Court, and they owe 194 million yen (roughly USD $1.80 million) to 64 creditors.

    Picture Element was launched in September 2011, and they worked on both visual effects and CG for a number of movie and television properties. They’re known for their work on live-action versions of the Attack on Titan films, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, and more.
