Following the news that Nintendo sold over 10 million Nintendo Switch consoles last month, the company has raised their projected sales for the console in the new fiscal year.
Nintendo president, Tatsumi Kimishima, confirmed (via Kyoto Shimbun) the Japanese company is now projecting 20 million Switch consoles to be sold in fiscal year 2018.
It’s worth pointing out that Nintendo’s fiscal year ends in March, with the 2017 FY ending in March of this year. This means the company is expecting to sell 20 million Switch consoles to be sold from March onwards into 2019.
This makes sense for the company as they revved up production of the console to meet demands, upping their production to a minimum of 25 million Switch consoles in 2018.
The Nintendo Switch is now available worldwide, for $299.
