Today’s Niche Spotlight is Soulstice, a dark fantasy action-RPG by Reply Game Studios and Modus Games.

Soulstice is set in the Holy Kingdom of Keidas, a land torn apart by dimensional tears that allow malicious creatures called Wraiths to invade the physical realm. These Wraiths don’t just feed on humanity, they also possess and corrupt them, turning humans into soulless husks that attack any living being in sight.

The Kingdom’s secret weapon in this supernatural war are the Chimeras, superhuman warriors that are created by binding two souls to one body. Control Briar and Lute, a pair of sisters that must prove their worth to the other Chimeras by closing the Tear that is ravaging the city of Ilden.

Use Briar’s physical strength to battle enemies while Lute provides mystical support used to solve puzzles and make certain enemies more vulnerable to attack. Soulstice is available on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series XIS for $39.99.

The balance of the Holy Kingdom of Keidas is compromised when powerful, feral creatures known as “Wraiths” invade from the other side of the Veil, threatening to consume the living. Wraiths corrupt their victims and can even possess their bodies, turning into unstoppable monsters that prey upon the common folk. The “Chimeras”, hybrid warriors born of the union of two souls, are the only ones who can protect humankind.

Briar and Lute are two sisters who have been reborn as a Chimera. The transformation has granted Briar superhuman strength and resilience, while Lute, sacrificed to bind her soul to her sister’s, has become a shade with mystical powers. Voiced by Stefanie Joosten (Metal Gear Solid 5), Briar and Lute are sent on a mission to reclaim a city in ruins that has been ravaged by the Wraiths, only to discover that the Order they belong to has a far more complex plan in mind.
