This looks crazy, but I just want to see some gameplay now. We already know it’s peak Kojima.

Kojima unfiltered will be, if nothing else, interesting to see.

Kojima still has no idea what kind of game this is going to be, does he?

I think it’s going to be a third-person adventure/shooter game, open world. The infants in the tanks are literal 1ups, they carry them around to sacrifice the infant instead of themselves when ‘their time is due’, so my guess is there’s going to be a point in the game where you face off against the ‘ghosts’ of all the infants you’ve ‘consumed’ throughout the game, similar to the sorrow encounter in MGS3.

An 8-minute cutscene that made no sense whatsoever. Yup, that’s Kojima.

I wanna say that it’s going to be a third-person visual novel/story-driven hybrid.

Kojima’s already confirmed it’s a third-person open world game at least.

MGS 2 (as well as the first one and third) was actually written by this man https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1fe3c6f8e1c17c50491aca2adc0bf716d1f34ace7de5d5fcf75529b3dc6ed373.jpg
He was the one detailing about the control of information, the dangers of the digital era (the overflow of information without value & context in internet and the existence of ‘safe spaces’ from social medias), how history remembers its “heroes” and “villains”, etc

Problem is that people somehow gave all the credit to Kojima and developed a personality cult

Well he was still the writer of those games, he was just propped up by Fukushima and his ideas.

Very convenient for Kojima to bitch about America moving to the right meanwhile Japan is one of the most isolationist and nationalistic countries in the world with practically zero immigration. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. Japan (and America) *should* be isolationist, nationalistic, and have closed immigration.

Stay in your lane, Kojima. Hopefully your gay game doesn’t suck.

I believe Kojima acted more as a director, and considered Tomokazu’s writing was “cool” without giving much a thought.

    Is he wrong though?
Don’t you think that the current climate is something to look at? He isn’t talking about Trump explicitly, and I think many authors would be interested in exploring the conditioning that goes into people that follow Antifa and how openly polarizing the media ha been acting for the past few years.

You know, he isn’t criticising Trump.
And I think he got point, the current climate is something we should have never have gotten into without the media, and how social media influences people today. How many authors warned us about things like that? And how many would be interested to speculate where it might lead.
If anything, your reaction is a symptom of this climate.

Saying something like “I’m worried about politics in America moving to the right” is just silly when you consider the politics of Kojima’s own nation which he would not be here without, not to mention vague, and frankly I consider discussing politics in the terms “right vs left” to be very distasteful and narrow minded. Kojima must have Westernized himself very thoroughly indeed if he discusses politics in that manner. I’m sick of people pretending to be more enlightened by not taking sides on issues and criticizing those who do. Decisions simply don’t get made that way. We have put specific policies into effect that would be considered left leaning such as welfare programs and open immigration policies for long enough to know via hard evidence that they are harming the native population even to the point of displacement. To me, when you view these figures, the choice is obvious — there is only one side to take. Discussing politics with others is about being able to empathize with that and rejecting all “right” leaning politics just makes you look like a completely uninformed person.

    “Kojima unfiltered”
All you’ll get is more of the same but with a far more unreasonable budget.

Holy shit, Kojima went full-blown Sony SJW cucklord with that.

“Muh right wing! CNN and BBC international said it’s bad!”

Meanwhile, in Marxist Education Centers and Antifa Riotland…

Still no clue what the hell is going on but Im going to wait and see some more trailers and maybe more info other than being post apocalyptic which is what it sounds like. Hm Im guessing the next explosion wiped out the world’s ocean, which is why in the last trailer you saw some sea life well…. dead and in this one as well and that was thanks to some sort of Alien lifeforms.

Im not hyped or excited about it, no idea why anyone is though. More than likely because of Kojima. Im just waiting to see some actual gameplay.

I think we can all relax… Kojima won’t go SJW- he’s Japanese and doesn’t *really* know the full extent of what is going on here. He’s probably just scared that the nationalistic shit the Japanese did in WW2 could happen again. They have more of a history with it than we do.

I don’t know, the games after 3 still have a lot of similarities to the games that came before, even if the quality of the writing isn’t as good so Kojima definitely had the same amount of involvement in the story there, he just used to have better co-writers.
