So is this basically confirmation that Nintendo felt the need to censor the optional costumes yet again for a Mature rated game/series? :(

Just because they’re showing off a few nintendo themed costumes doesn’t mean there aren’t more risque ones in the game.

I’d love to be optimistic but the ESRB rating, the complete silence, and them adding costumes that weren’t in the Japanese release just seems fishy to me haha I’d love more then anything though for my fears to be proven wrong lol

The game is rated M in the US. It doesn’t mention anything about sexual related things, but it’s possible that the costumes never made it into the preview video that is shown to the ESRB when they go for a rating.

If they did take out the more risque costumes without NoA coming out and saying it, on the one hand i think it could be worse, though also it would be a bit of a dick move for them to not bothering mentioning it ontop of the US release not getting a physical copy.

    Didn’t stop Bayonetta
NoA doesn’t like anything that’s not stereotypical Nintendo, why they never talk about the game.
As a way to help selling the game, was the Nintendo costumes in the Japanese version before they hit US?

Sigh I remember when this franchise was scary horror ghost story from Japan.
Fatal frame 2 was genuinely creepy.

Now it is all about pretty girl in a dlc costume.

True but when I compare FF2 with what we have now I think the soul is gone. I just cannot take these games seriously as survival horror anymore.

Just look at what everyone is talking about: costumes.

You do know that these alternate costumes ARE optional right? You can play the game without having to use them. Plus its not like they change the gameplay overall

Yes I know. I am just being grumpy. All I hear people talk about is the stupid costumes like this is Dead or Alive beach volleyball.

    Now get of my lawn.

Dude calm your tits. You made the decision to click onto the article, so you dont have anyone to blame but yourself. You say that everyone only talks about the costume, but again I ask what’s your point? Being that the game comes out in the states close to Halloween and all, it makes sense for Nintendo to do a small advertising for these particular optional costumes.

This is news. If there was any other sort of news about this game, you can bet Nichegamer would also report on it. As it stands, though, there isn’t.

Keep in mind that the ESRB website still has not made the rating public. I went to the website and this title still isn’t in their entry. Only past Fatal Frame titles show up. Though I still hope the other costumbre made it in.
