Niche Games Spotlight – Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest

Magenta Horizon: Neverending Harvest Review

Battle your way through a psychedelic afterlife in Magenta Horizon, a brutally difficult 2D spectacle fighter.

Solo-developer Maddison Baek has created one of the most in-depth spectacle fighters currently available, featuring a very unique and complex combat system with a huge emphasis on movement and displacement through combos.

Magenta Horizon is a brutally difficult title in every sense of the word, featuring chaotic fights in cramped arenas against incredibly tough enemies. Players are required to be hyper-aggressive and precise to keep control of the battlefield, while engaging with the unique healing system by extracting health orbs from enemies.

Magenta Horizon is the perfect experience for players who want the usual gameplay loop found in titles like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden but presented in a different format, which manages to cram all the mechanics expected of a spectacle fighter into a 2D platformer.

Magenta Horizon – Neverending Harvest recently left Early Access and is available on Microsoft Windows (through Steam).
