Lay Down the Divine Smackdown in Fist of Jesus: The Bloody Gospel of Judas

Spanish indie studio Mutant Games have just put out their hilariously tongue-in-cheek 2D brawler, Fist of Jesus: The Bloody Gospel of Judas.

Featured above, you can view the game’s release trailer, which is a mix of live action recordings, and actual in game visuals. The game features a super deformed (chibi, I guess?) version of Jesus (they go by the Spanish pronunciation) that fights and brutalizes his enemies—reanimated corpses, cowboys, the Romans, and more.

The game is described as an ’80’s-style beat ’em up, except neon and glam have been replaced by horrible zombies, the product of something going wrong with the resurrection of Lazarus. You can expect over 60 levels of “full humor gore story,” tons of zombies, mini bosses, surprising bosses, the ability to dish out the aforementioned divine punishment, enact miracles upon the world, and more.

Fist of Jesus: The Bloody Gospel of Judas is now available on PC via Steam, for $9.99 / €8.99 / £7.99.
