Gothic Lolita Mega Man-like Game Rosenkreuzstilette Now on Steam

Doujin platforming-shooter with an insanely hard to pronounce name Rosenkreuzstilette has been released on Steam via Playism.

The indie Japanese game is essentially a love-letter to Mega Man fans, if you switched the bosses, environments, and so on with gothic and or fantasy themes. You could say it’s like a mashup of Castlevania themes and Mega Man. Featured above, you can view the game’s latest trailer.

The game was originally translated by a fan translation group, who later reformed as Darksquid Media. Due to their superb work, Playism officially contracted them to be the translation team for the Rosenkreuzstilette series.

You can find Rosenkreuzstilette here on Steam.

Now see, this is how you do it. No cease and desist, no threats of lawsuit — if you find a bunch of dudes who are better at your job than you are, and willing to do it for free, fucking HIRE THEM.

This is a better Mega Man clone than Mighty No. 9 could ever amount to

Looks nice. I’ll be picking this up from Playism instead of Steam, since you get it DRM-free from there.

I always delayed buying this because I never trusted how it pay for it. Now I can do this without any worry. And it’s $10 less.

I remember seeing this way back and thinking it looked interesting. Glad it has an official release and them working with the fan translators is awesome!

This is an amazing act from them that should be the standard in the industry. Everybody wins.
