Indie developer Can Can Can a Man announced a delay for Gold Gold Adventure Gold, their colony sim / reverse RPG.

Gold Gold Adventure Gold will forgo its originally planned June release for one a bit later – on July 31st. The game will launch for Windows PC (via Steam) via early access.

The team needed more time to deliver “the best possible experience,” which they will incorporate feedback from their recent Steam Next Fest demo and add new features for its early access launch.

Here’s what’s coming in the early access launch, plus a new trailer:

• New Faces & Foes: Recruit new adventurers, encounter new enemies and neutral units, and befriend a new type of pet godbeast that totally won’t eat your adventurers!
• More Spells & Events: Cast new spells, unlock new perks, and discover fresh map events.
• Quest Control: Take more control of quests with set level caps, repeatable tasks, and even pay extra to pick specific adventurers.
• Permanent Progression: Unlock long-term upgrades and dive into deeper, more replayable systems.
• City-Building Upgrades: Expand with new towers, walls, adjacency bonuses, location bonuses, and decorations.
• Economy Improvements: Experience a more challenging grind for gold with an economy that makes getting rich more difficult.
• Adventurer Buffs and Features: Unlock new skills and power-ups as adventurers level up, enjoy more slice-of-life events and interactions, and manage buildings that now house multiple adventurer types—each gaining different stat boosts based on where they live.
• Adventurer Relationships: Lovers, quarrels, party breakups — adventurers now have feelings.
• Smarter Behavior: Adventurers avoid overcrowded areas, make more strategic decisions in scary situations, and won’t stall at quest boards anymore.
• Slower Pacing: You asked, and we listened! Enjoy a slower-pace on lower difficulties, with faster action remaining on higher difficulties for people who desire that. The slower mode will include increased time between enemy waves, increased building HP, and increased adventurer stats.
• Visual Additions: Weather effects, sprite variations, and collectible art to admire between monster attacks.
• UI & Performance Boosts: Faster load times, an updated UI that features adventurer lists and personality profiles, and improvements to adventurer history.
