Genshin Impact Character Demo – Sayu: Yoohoo Art, Mujina Escape

Genshin Impact Sayu

MiHoYo have released a new gameplay teaser trailer for Sayu, one of the new characters coming to their gacha action-RPG, Genshin Impact.

Sayu is a ninja for the secretive Shuumatsuban organization, under the control of the Yashiro Commission. Despite being a master of ninjutsu, her lazy personality means she often uses her repertoire of techniques to find ways to slack off and sleep on the job.

She is a support-focused 4-star Anemo claymore character. Her Elemental Skill has two different functions depending on if you tap or hold the button. When tapped, Sayu dashes forward as a rolling Fuufuu Windwheel, dealing Anemo damage to enemies she comes into contact with.

When her Elemental Skill button is held, she will stay in this state for up to 10 seconds; during which time players can control her as she rolls around. As with most Anemo characters, Sayu can absorb the properties of other elements she comes in contact with while rolling as the Fuufuu Windwheel.

Sayu’s Elemental Burst is a support ability, dealing Anemo damage to nearby enemies, and healing allies based on Sayu’s ATK stat. After this attack ends, she summons the tanuki-like Muji-Muji Daruma, which either deals Anemo damage or heals allies at specific intervals based on the current health of your party.

You can find the Sayu: Yoohoo Art, Mujina Escape trailer below.

Sayu will be available alongside the new 5-star character, Yoimiya, in the upcoming Tapestry of Golden Flames limited time character wish banner. The banner will also feature increased drop rates for the 4-star characters Diona and Xinyan. This banner will replace the current The Heron’s Court banner, showcasing Ayaka, Chongyun, Ningguang, and Yanfei, on August 10th.

A new Epitome Invocation weapon banner will launch the same day. The 5-star weapons showcased in this banner will be the new Thundering Pulse bow and the Skyward Blade sword. The banner will also feature increased drop rates for the 4-star weapons Sacrificial Sword, Rainslasher claymore, Dragon’s Bane polearm, Sacrificial Fragments catalyst, and Favonius Warbow.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
