If this is really right as I see it, then Nintendo really has churned this out Pokemon style, and that’s just trash. The choice between Poke games was for a modicum of variety (and who seriously bought both versions every release?). This just leaves us out of two thirds of the whole experience of the story and demands we pay extra for story content that should be in the same game!

Okay, half of me is curious about the special edition but the other half is worried about censorship with that manufactured outrage. What do?

Ugh, Awakening was mediocre waifu trash, now we have this different versions crap that just cashes in on poor fools who’ll buy them all.

…And sadly I’ll probably be first in line for that special edition. Hopefully I’ll come to my senses.

I really cautious about this. I want the special edition but I’m afraid of how 8-4 and treehouse will butcher it.

Wonder if this will be “localized” like the last game.

Even knowing censorship is inevitable, I’ll probably end up getting this. It looks quite fun.

If I buy Conquest OR Birthright, do I get Revelations for free? They didn’t have a price.

    Guys, don’t do it.

There’s a fan translation in the works for the Japanese version. A lot of you play it for the story, right? Then why put up with what you know will be censored trash? And if you play it for the waifus, wouldn ‘t you want to see their ACTUAL dialogue, not Nintendo’s altered version?

    Guys. Seriously. Don’t do it.

I lament the fact that there are people that play FE now for the story and “waifus”.

That’s what Fire Emblem is now, I guess.

Nintendo has already burned us twice with censorship. Do you honestly think they will leave this game alone?

Fire Emblem is nothing but Shining Force with Shipping.

80 dollars? Maybe they’ll put all that money into making sure its translated properly…

I’d rather see it hobble on as story and waifus than censored story and censored waifus, is all.

I’m a bit torn, as any of the content that would be censored, I feel shouldn’t be in a Fire Emblem game at all. It shouldn’t have to resort to pandering and overt fanservice. And all that being there signifies everything I now hate about Fire Emblem and it’s new fanbase.

    But then, I’m against censorship.

Only two Fire Emblem games have actually had shipping. Others have had support conversations, but they were all flavor text, and only changed the ending a bit. Also, not all ended in romance.

Fire Emblem is nothing but Shining Force with occasional Shipping.

80 bucks for a “complete” experience, minus all the stuff that will inevitably be cut.

    What a bargain!

No. Revelations is additional DLC content which won’t be available at launch. It is most definitely not free.

Even knowing that this is going to be censored for puritan values I’m just not principled enough to resist the allure of having all 3 games in one package. I’m gonna have to sell out on this one.

Wow that’s awful. Further cements my dislike of them. I think I’ll avoid purchasing games they’ve translated.

Am I missing something, or is this referring to a fan-translation of the script alone? Is someone planning on issuing the patched version on an unofficial region-free cartridge or something?

Well, that sucks. Looks like I’ll wait until one of the main games drops in price or something.

Take a couple classes, expand your mind, turn on Japanese audio.
PS Awakening’s translation was accurate to the meaning. It wasn’t super well-written, but it was accurate.

Is this about the cousin-fucking? It was pretty obvious what that one text box actually said…
