Japanese developer Mebius has announced they’re going to start porting the Elminage games to modern home consoles with the first release coming soon.
The first game in the series to get ported to modern consoles will be Elminage ORIGINAL: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods, which is coming to unspecified consoles sometime this summer.
The console ports for the Elminage games will be handled by port developer OperaHouse and more information on the new release(s) will come sometime in late March 2025.
The Elminage games are essentially Wizardry clones in that they are first-person dungeon crawling RPGs, all set in high-fantasy settings just like their inspiration.
Elminage ORIGINAL: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods was originally released for the PS2 back in 2008 and was later ported to the DS, PSP, the 3DS, and eventually on PC (via Steam) by D3 Publisher.
