A World of Keflings is a popular resource harvesting city-building game that previously released on Xbox Live Arcade, but it has since been confirmed for a Wii U release. Unfortunately, development got quiet and fans were left wondering if it was still coming to the platform.

Now, we’ve received word that the game is still coming, and that it is set for a release sometime in the coming months. The Wii U version of the game was revealed and demo’ed at PAX East last March. A World of Keflings originally launched on Xbox Live Arcade back in 2010, and it generally received positive reviews from both users and critics.

The Wii U version has been promised to incorporate Mii characters in the same way the Xbox 360 and Windows versions use avatars to join in the fight with the tiny Keflings. Developer NinjaBee teased the progress of the Wii U version, saying: “Even now, brave Kefling explorers are sailing toward the famed land of ‘Nintendo,’ where the mighty and legendary Miis are said to rule.”
