Recreates the Street Fighter II Car Mini-Game

Turkish insurance company Anadolu Sigorta ran a commercial that recreates the recreates the Street Fighter II car mini-game, and it’s pretty hilarious.

Here’s the commercial:

While the above commercial recreates the Street Fighter II car mini-game, the video was posted with the message noting – of course – the driver of that vehicle didn’t have insurance from Anadolu Sigorta, so now they’re in a tough situation.

The Street Fighter II car mini-game actually originated in Final Fight, the progenitor for Street Fighter, where players would try to do as much damage to the car as possible in between the main levels. Unlike Final Fight though, you can’t use weapons – only your fists.

The goal is to do as much damage as possible and or possibly even nearly destroy the car within 40 seconds, with each hit awarding you 100 points, for a maximum of 24,400 points – as well as a bonus 30,000 points if you get a perfect round.

Another clever commercial was released before with Toyota featuring their latest version of the Prius, all themed around Final Fantasy and its iconic Chocobo Theme – you can read more about that here.
