Next Dragon Age Game Launches 2023 Sources Claim

Sources familiar” with the next upcoming Dragon Age game have reportedly stated the game’s release date is set for 2023.

While announced back in 2018, we have heard surprisingly little about the game. We did get a teaser trailer during The Game Awards 2020, and recent concept art revealed the return of the Antivan Crows. The recent EA Play live also had no sign of it, but Bioware had previously announced they would not be showing anything at that time.

Now, Venture Beat reports that “sources familiar” with the next Dragon Age game state it will launch 2023; though an EA spokesperson stated a date had not been announced, nor were there plans to share it at this time. Venture Beat also propose that marketing will begin in 2022.

The game’s development was likely hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequent lockdown orders; along with being announced prior to the release of a new generation of consoles. These factors may mean plans had to be altered during development.

As previously reported, the story is focused around what happens when the player is powerless, while those with powers ignore issues befalling the people. The announcement also revealed several of the voice cast and their characters; including Gareth David-Lloyd (Solas), Jee Young Han (Bellara), and Ike Amadi (Davrin).

We will keep you informed as we learn more.
