Niche Spotlight – Cabin Fever

Cabin Fever

Today’s Niche Spotlight is Cabin Fever, a slice of life romantic visual novel by Steamy Buns Games and Sad Panda Studios.

The game follows a loner that has decided to check out of society by living in a remote cabin in the mountains, tending a vegetable garden and caring for a flock of chickens. This all changes when a strange girl shows up at your door one stormy night.

Injured, lost, and with nowhere to go, you end up reluctantly allowing her to stay the night. Cabin Fever features roughly 3 hours of gameplay, with multiple endings to unlock based on your choices.

You can find the launch trailer below.

Cabin Fever is available on Windows PC, Linux, and Mac (all via Steam) for $9.99 USD. There is also an optional uncensored patch available as a DLC for $1.99 USD that restores a sex scene, several sexually suggestive scenes, and more explicit dialogue.

You can find the rundown (via Steam) below:

Experience a slice of off-grid life, and the bittersweet taste of love…

You live in the mountains, spending your days tending a vegetable garden, looking after chickens, and working remotely as a computer programmer. You don’t participate in society – or whatever’s left of it. You’re fine with being alone.

But when a young woman appears on your secluded property, injured and lost on a stormy night, you’re understandably torn. Are you obligated to help her? Is it even safe to help her?

You have no idea what to do. Your brain is mush. And the fact that she’s so pretty doesn’t help…

Cabin Fever is a sweet, funny, romantic visual novel that’s sure to give you all the feels. Experience a budding friendship – and a blossoming romance – as you open up, make choices, and explore multiple endings. The world may seem bitter and bleak… But your story doesn’t have to be.
