Genshin Impact Character Teaser – Kamisato Ayaka: The Homeward Heron

Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka

MiHoYo have released a new character teaser trailer for Kamisato Ayaka, one of the new characters coming to gacha action-RPG, Genshin Impact.

Ayaka is a highly anticipated character from Inazuma that was introduced in the beta servers last year, but has yet to get a full release until now. She is the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan.

As part of her duties, she is tasked with taking care of the clan’s internal and external affairs, while her elder brother is in charge of governmental duties. She will be a 5-star Cryo sword-wielder that focuses on sustained damage, with Cryo-infused AoE attacks as part of her Elemental Skill and Burst.

You can find the Kamisato Ayaka: The Homeward Heron teaser trailer below.

Kamisato Ayaka is one of three characters being added in the big 2.0 update, and will be the focus of the new version’s first banner. The other characters, Yoimiya and Sayu, will be released later.

The 2.0 update will also mark the release of Inazuma, the game’s next region and the country that will be at the center of the next story arc. This Japanese-inspired island chain will consist of six main islands to explore, though only the first three will be in 2.0. The remaining three will be released in a future update.

Other highlights of the 2.0 update include the Thundering Pulse and Mistsplitter Reforged 5-star weapons, a new set of Inazuma-themed 4-star weapons, two new artifact sets, the Pyro Hypostasis and the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss fights, and new limited time events.

Update 2.0 The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia will release across all platforms on July 21st.

Genshin Impact is available and free-to-play on Windows PC (via the official website), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
