Brazil Classification Board Reveals Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Platforms; PC and Consoles

Monkey Ball Leaked Brazil

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania has been leaked once again, with the Brazillian classification board confirming the game’s platforms.

As previously reported, the game was previously leaked via the Australian classification board; confirming a multi-platform release, with its year of production being 2021. Now, Switch Brazil reports (translation: Google Translate) that the game has also appeared on the Classificacao Indicativa- Brazil’s classification board.

While no longer listed, a screenshot shows the game will be coming to Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Switch Brazil also states the Windows PC release will be on Steam.

The series began as an arcade game in 2001, before coming to GameCube as Super Monkey Ball in the same year. The series has had nearly 20 entries (including ports), with the last title being 2019’s Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD (itself a port of the 2006 Wii game).

Across nigh-all games, players must tilt the entire level, making their monkey-filled ball roll around the stage. Players collect bananas as they aim for each level’s goal, all while avoiding falling off precarious ledges and platforms.

While the classification has the author listed as Sega (the same as the publisher), this may not mean they are developing the game. While Sega have developed the games themselves in the past, the most recent game was developed by Yakuza developers Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

We shall keep you informed as we learn more.
