Resident Evil April Showcase Premieres April 15, Resident Evil Re:Verse Open Beta Now Live

Resident Evil Village

Capcom have announced the premiere date of the Resident Evil April Showcase, and announced the launch of the Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta.

The previous showcase from January 2021 announced the release date of Resident Evil Village, and revealed Resident Evil Re:Verse; an online multiplayer shooter. The announcements were somewhat lessened by the Capcom Leaks, brought about by a ransomware hacker group. The  global premiere date for 3D CGI movie Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was also announced, but went unspoiled.

The April Showcase promises to reveal a new trailer and gameplay for Resident Evil Village, along with “a few other surprises as well.” The showcase will also feature the game’s producer (Tsuyoshi Kanda), and director (Morimasa Sato).

In addition to the premiere date, the teaser trailer has confirmed the Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta is now live; closing April 10th at 11p.m. PT. At this time of writing however, Capcom have temporarily suspended the open beta due to issues with matchmaking.

You can find the open beta on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game itself will also be free to those who buy Resident Evil Village.

You can find the teaser trailer for the showcase below.

The next Resident Evil Showcase will premiere in April 15th at 3:00 p.m. PT via Twitch, and YouTube.

Resident Evil Village launches May 7th on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will support upgrades to the next generation.
