Following the news that Microsoft is hosting a big Xbox spring sale with lots of discounts on games, Microsoft gives players money during the sale.
Xbox owners were greeted with a curious message in their Xbox accounts when the Spring Sale kicked off this month.
“Spring Sale starts today! Here is a special gift to help you make your first game purchase. Enjoy this Gift Card you can use to buy Games, Add-ons, and Movies on your Microsoft Store online,” the message reads. Players have been receiving Gift Card codes for amounts ranging from $5 to $10.
Each user was gifted a unique Gift Card code, to which they can redeem it to their Microsoft account and spend it on anything on the Microsoft store.
It’s not often that Microsoft gives players money, and it’s worth pointing out that despite this being a Gift Card code that adds balance to your account, Microsoft notes that the code must be redeemed by April 30th, 2021, and the balance must be spent within 90 days of redemption.
The aforementioned Xbox Spring Sale 2021 has deep discounts on over 600 Xbox console games, as well as over 100 Windows PC titles. They’ve also discounted a host of accessories and other things in their wheelhouse, even discounting the cost of their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription down to $1.
