In addition, the website updated with new information on the game’s battle system. Touted a “real-time tactics battle system,” players fight with up to four characters (3 main and one substitute), and can use Skill Chains to use up to four skills in a row.

Further, ryokutya2089 (a blog dedicated to summarizing Japanese gaming news from physical publications) shared more information via Famitsu. Reportedly (Translation: DeepL), players can gain AP via guarding- but don’t reduce damage. This AP is then spent during Skill Chains to unleash skills back to back.

The Skill Chains increases the skill’s power, and lets the player gain more “CC.” CC is spent to use items consecutively, with some items activating Core Drives.

When skills are used, players also fill a gauge. When this exceeds a certain amount, the “TLv” is increased. When players are a high enough level, maxed out TLv can be used on Fatal Drive moves.

Other updates to the Japanese website include a mosaic art campaign, the game’s soundtrack being released on two discs (containing 60 tracks), and (as previously reported) the game’s physical PlayStation 5 version being cancelled. The game can still be upgraded from PlayStation 4 for free, but only on PlayStation 5 models with disc drives.

You can find a sample of the soundtrack below.
