Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy New Character Profiles, Skill Tree Details

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy

The Japanese website for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy has updated, revealing new information about the game and its characters.

While the English website has updated to provide more information on Tao Mongarten, the website still has less information than its Japanese counterpart, with characters mentioned in our prior report still not appearing.

The Japanese website has updated its Characters and System pages. We will be using Google Translate throughout, and adjusted where there are clear grammatical errors  (Editor’s Note: Some character quotes could not be translated due to the text being embedded as an image).

You can find the character information on the newly revealed characters [1, 2, 3] below.

VOLKER

“I want to ask to you today, is there anything that I can do?”

Patrizia’s father.
As a commoner, he became known as one of the best knights in the kingdom, and was placed in a line of nobles.
Regardless of name and reality, he regulates himself as strictly as possible to be a nobleman.
The rigor is fully demonstrated in the education of his daughter.

The updated System page details how the game works. Players gather materials all across the world, searching high and low. This includes climbing cliffs, swimming underwater, and digging them up via a mount. This mount may be another form of the fairy Fi, but this is speculation on our part.

Though alchemy, players can then combine items to make entirely new ones. Their properties can also be changed when adding “essence” into the mix. Players can use Evolve Link to combine completed items together.

The gameplay on that page seems to show each item having essence (ice, fire, etc) and when used to create an object, it unlocks other recipes, or the ability to use other items for that recipe.

Finally, the New Features page discusses the Skill Tree. Ryza will be able to learn new recipes and ways to combine items. These include raising the limit of how many items can be combined at once. Players will have to decide whether they prioritize how many recipes they have, or the quality of the items produced.
