PlayStation State of Play Premieres August 6, “No Big PS5 Announcements!”

PlayStation have announced the next State of Play presentation; though it will not be focused on titles coming the the PlayStation 5.

As stated on the blog and on Twitter, the next showcase will not be focused on the PlayStation 5, with “no big announcements” planned. “There won’t be any updates around hardware, business, preorders, or dates either.”


The over 40 minute presentation will focus third-party titles coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. Even so, as presentation will feature “a few quick check-ins on third-party and indie games from June’s PS5 showcase,” this may include some third-party and indie titles for PlayStation 5.

Third party and indie games shown during the June showcase include Project Athia, Stray, Destruction All Stars, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Goodbye Volcano High, Oddworld: Soulstorm, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Hitman 3, Jett: The Far Shore, Godfall, Solar Ash, Resident Evil Village, Little Devil Inside, NBA 2K21, Bugsnax, Deathloop, Pragmata, and more.

PlayStation’s State of Play premieres August 6th at 1:00 p.m. PDT (4:00 p.m. EDT and 9:00 p.m. BST) via Twitch and YouTube.
