Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced during the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable that Setsuka will be joining Soulcalibur VI.
According to the Soulcalibur Fandom Wiki, Setsuka originally appeared in Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV– making this her first appearance in 10 years. A foreigner orphaned in Japan, she was shunned as a child. She was taken in by a bodyguard that taught her his techniques, using hidden blades.
After returning from a long-trip on an errand for her master, Setsuka found him gravely injured, unable to wield a sword. While he survived, after his passing Setsuka swore revenge against the one she believed was responsible: Mitsurugi.
In addition, the free update 2.20 promises adjustments for all characters, Setsuka’s classic costume parts, a new Groh episode, and a new stage “Murakumo Shrine Grounds.”
Finally, Character Creation Set E was announced as the 12th piece of DLC. This features costume parts inspired by the Tekken series.
Setsuka, update 2.20, and Character Creation Set E all launch August 4th.
