NIS America (NISA) have announced that Disgaea 4 Complete+ is heading to Windows PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass.
The game focuses on former tyrant Valvatorez, now serving as a Prinny trainer in Hades; a pitiful role compared to his prime. Valvatorez had sworn of drinking blood as a promise to someone, and now teaches condemned souls of the human world how to serve as Prinnys in the Netherworld.
However, an overabundance of Prinnys (and them being blamed for the Netherworld’s problems) hints at a deeper conspiracy. This spurs Valvatorez into action, orchestrating a coup of the Corrupternment and making the Netherworld great again.
This tactical RPG series prides itself levels reaching 9999, and stats reaching the billions. Tactical RPG battles lead to making a mighty squad of demons and monsters, all carrying into New Game+. Players can even improve their items by delving into the item’s “world” to make it level up, or worlds within their characters to unlock new potential.
While in Item Worlds, players are also able to use their own pirate ships to “raid” other players. Copies of your team are sent out online, harassing players as they delve into Item Worlds. Players can also have control over their pirates as they raid their own items (to get yet more items).
Player’s characters can also show up in Dark Senate; where players can pass bills to unlock new characters, items, and tweak the game to their liking. This is done through bribing senators with items they like, though other player’s characters turning up can help or hinder this process.
The Complete+ edition contains all the previous DLC from the original game; offering a second campaign and even more characters to unlock (most from other Disgaea games). The game’s Steam page also lists several pieces of DLC, granting extra items, money, and experience to make life easier.
Online features will be coming to the PC version after launch. RPG Site reports (as NISA’s blog post is not displaying due to an error at this time of writing) that players will be able to share their map editor creations online in early 2021.
