Niche Spotlight – Maid of Sker

Maid of Sker

Today’s Spotlight is Maid of Sker, a first-person survival horror game by Wales Interactive.

Maid of Sker is heavily inspired by Welsh folklore, with several famous Welsh hymns playing a big role in the game. The game is set in 1898 and based on the folktale of Elisabeth Williams; a woman that was imprisoned by her father to prevent her from marrying her lover.

You play as Thomas Evans, a musician that is trying to rescue the woman he loves from the mysterious cult of the Quiet Ones. Armed with only a defensive sound device, Thomas will need to sneak around a remote hotel avoiding enemies that rely on their exceptional sense of hearing to track the player.
