Star Wars: The Old Republic Now Available on Steam

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Electronic Arts (EA) have announced that Bioware’s Star Wars: The Old Republic is now available on Steam.

Throughout June numerous EA titles that were previously exclusive to Origin on PC were made available on Steam [1, 2, 3]. This also included Mass Effect 3, though the alternate ending DLC was now part of a paid bundle, rather than for free as it had previously been.

Now, EA have announced that the 2011 MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is now available on Steam. This version will include cross-play and cross-save support, Steam trading cards to earn emoticons and backgrounds for Steam, and achievements that will retro-actively apply when the game is launched.

The game is free-to-play, but those who subscribe will have access to all of the game’s expansions, an increased level cap (from 60 to 75), a monthly Cartel Coin grant, additional character slots, Rest XP, and unlimited access to Warzones, Flashpoints, Uprisings, and Operations. Subscribers will also gain increased XP, Renown, and Reputation.

You can find the full rundown (via Steam) below.
