Jaw Drop Games are currently looking to fund their cooperative survival horror game, Deathground, on Kickstarter.
In Deathground, up to three players are tasked with completing mission objectives on a deadly island full of predatory dinosaurs. The game features three character classes with their own unique set of skills and items, and a crafting system that allows you to construct useful tools during a match.
Drop zones, extraction points, and mission objectives are randomized to keep each match fresh. Players will need cooperate, using their character’s skill sets together to find high value loot, avoid being eaten, and escape once the mission is accomplished. You can find the reveal trailer below.
The minimum pledge level that gets you a copy of the game is the Raptor – Early Bird tier, which is $16 USD and includes a digital copy of the game, Discord access, digital art pack, and name in the credits. This Early Bird special is only available for the first week of the campaign.
Of course there are plenty of higher tiers for those that want beta access, extra game keys to give to friends, in-game extras like special skins or charms on your character model, or physical swag like t-shirts, hoodies, and dinosaur statues.
The base game will currently include three character classes, three maps, and two dinosaur types (raptors and T-Rex). Stretch goals and long term objectives include more dinosaurs, classes, maps, ranked multiplayer, and new modes- potentially including modes that introduce PvP elements.
At the time of writing, the game is sitting at nearly $17,000 USD pledged towards its $100,882 US goal, with 28 days to go.

Community Driven Development
The community will have an active role in helping to shape the game experience so together, we can create something incredible. There will be testing during phases of development and there will be an emphasis on player feedback and player design participation.
Deathground is currently focused on Windows PC via Steam, though console versions are a possibility. An Early Access version is estimated to release in Q3 2021, with a full release in Q2 2022.
