Aniplex have announced two Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba games, one for smartphones, and the other for PlayStation 4.

The press release (via PR Times Japan, Translation: Google Translate) details the two games. The first one, Demon Slayer: Blood Wind Sword Glow Royal, will be a smartphone game.

Described as an “asymmetric battle-style survival action,” this multiplayer divides players into demon hunters, or demons. Each aim to destroy the other, while hunters are aided by soldiers. The game will be developed by Quatro A, and Soleil. You can find the promotional visual above.

The second game, Demon Slayer: Hinokami Blood Style Tan, is for PlayStation 4. As the description is identical to the plot of the show, we have very little to go on with how the game plays. Even the “manufacturer” lists Aniplex. You can find the description below.

“In order to avenge the murder of his family and return his only younger sister, Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon, he becomes a demon swordsman swordsman, Kamajiro Jinjiro, and defeats the demon that attacks the people!”

Demon Slayer: Blood Wind Sword Glow Royal launches 2020 for Android, and iOS. Demon Slayer: Hinokami Blood Style Tan will launch in 2021 for PlayStation 4. A western release has not been confirmed at this time for either title.

Back in late November 2019, we reported on Nicchiban the franchise was set to achieve 25 million copies in circulation. Two months later, it was set to achieve 40 million in circulation.

It is no wonder the franchise became Shueisha’s second best selling manga in 2019, rivaled only by the titanic One Piece.

In October of that year, the character Inosuke Hashibira became a symbol of the 2019 Chile protests (also dubbed the “30 Pesos War”).
