Kakao Games have announced they are currently giving away free game passes for their sandbox MMO, Black Desert Online.
As part of their 4th Anniversary celebrations, and until March 2nd, gamers in North America and Europe can add the game to their account and keep it.
It should be noted the game is not subscription based, but does have an in-game shop for “additional items, and is mostly focused on aesthetics. Buying items from the Cash Shop is completely optional.” The various packages DLC also do not contain access to levels or areas.
Editor’s Note: We have seen reports [1, 2] that the game utilizes XignCode Anti-Cheat Software. This appears to be installed when the game is launched, but this is not made clear to the player. We advise all our readers to carefully examine their files when installing any new game or software.
