PlayStation Survey Asks if Users Want PS4 Remote Play on Nintendo Switch

PlayStation 4 Remote Play Switch

A recent user survey has revealed that PlayStation may be open to having PlayStation 4 Remote Play available on other platforms- including Nintendo Switch, Apple TV, and Android TV.

A user on r/PS4 posted several pages from a recent email survey, asking for users opinions on Remote Play for PlayStation 4. Among the album of screenshots, there were questions if players would want PlayStation 1 or PlayStation 2 games, parental controls, customizing control layouts, and the ability to use non-PlayStation controllers.

One particular question asked how appealing the “Ability to play PS4 Remote Play on more devices” would be. The examples given were Nintendo Switch, Apple TV, and Android TV.

While PlayStation Remote Play is already available on Windows PC, Android, and iOS devices; it is a surprise they would even entertain the idea of PlayStation games becoming available on Nintendo Switch.

It is curious PlayStation consider the Nintendo Switch on par with Apple TV and Android TV, as oppose to a major home console (like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One) that just so happens to have portability.

PlayStation was previously against even crossplay in multiplayer games, eventually relenting with Fortnite and gradually opening up to the idea.
