The official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube account have produced a short animation for the holidays- Chao in Space.

For those unfamiliar, Chao are adorable virtual pets seen in the franchise, predominantly featuring the Sonic Adventure series. In some city-based levels in those games (along with Sonic Generations and Team Sonic Racing), you can also see adverts billboards and adverts for the Chao in Space movies. Now, we finally get a look at one of those films! Well, sort of.

The animation was created by the same team who did the Sonic Mania Adventures [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] and Team Sonic Racing Overdrive [1, 2] animated shorts.
