Atlus have released trailers detailing the upcoming DLC for Persona 5 Royal.
While we already knew much of this information thanks to Morgana’s Report. Firstly we have trailers for the costume and BGM DLC based on Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth (above). The bulk of the game’s DLC costumes released on October 31st.
Curiously, the costume sets for new character Kasumi Yoshizawa seem to be sold separately as their own battles. For example, her Persona Q2 costume is bundled with her swimsuit, velvet room, maid, and Persona 4: Dancing All Night inspired costumes.
In addition, trailers showing us a small snippet of the challenge battles against the protagonists from Persona 3 and Persona 4 were revealed.
The challenge battles seem to utilize a system where you earn points as you fight, which in turn will earn them rewards. This may show you can earn a prize, even if you cannot beat the boss. All of the above DLC is currently only available in Japan, and has not been confirmed for a western release at this time.
Persona 5 Royal is out now Japan, and launches 2020 in North America, Europe, and Asia for PlayStation 4. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough written and video review for the original Persona 5 here (we highly recommend it!).
