Epic Removes Target Launch Dates for Epic Game Store Features

Epic Games have confirmed they’re removing exact dates for the planned features coming to the Epic Games Store.

The company is removing the target dates from their publicly accessible Trello roadmap, opting to instead list features as “Recently Shipped, “Up Next,” and “Future Development.”

“We regularly delay feature releases due to shifting priorities and the need for further iteration,” Epic said regarding the change. “We’re always focusing on improving, and we believe the Trello can be improved as well.”

The move to remove target ship dates is obviously a way to dodge missing target release for features, something that would only add to the Epic Game Store’s flattering reputation online.

Epic is planning more granular updates for each feature in development, with roadmap updates every two weeks.
