The latest Famitsu (also via Ryokutya2089) has shared more details for the modern port for the original Monster Rancher.

The game is coming to iOS and Android devices, alongside the previously confirmed Nintendo Switch version. A release is set for sometime later this year in Japan, and a price is set at 1,760 yen.

Development on the port is 70% complete, and there will be new elements in the port, including a custom database for you to generate monsters via different CD names (the original game had you generating monsters by swapping different CDs). You can also download and/or battle monsters raised by other breeders all over Japan.

Lastly, the Switch version of the game also supports two-player battles, with both Joy-Cons.
