Grand Theft Auto Online Casino Update Blocked in Over 50 Countries

Mere days after releasing their big casino update for Grand Theft Auto Online, reports of dozens of countries blocking the content have been surfacing online.

Players from over 50 countries (and counting) are reporting they are unable to access the digital casino, saying they don’t “have permission” to buy gambling chips to use in the virtual casino.

It appears the content has been blocked by Rockstar themselves, due to local gambling laws in countries like Poland, China, Iceland, and more. The Diamond Casino utilizes in-game money, which you can also purchase with real life money. Captain Cooks casino Canada.

Other games have in-game loot boxes available in the same countries that Rockstar has blocked this new gambling-themed update. Loot boxes (or crates) have been argued as another form of digital gambling, and have been catching the attention of lawmakers as well.

Grand Theft Auto Online has been available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
