When Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch Lite – a smaller, more portable version of the Switch console – many fans wondered if this meant they were finally phasing out the Nintendo 3DS.

Now, we’ve learned the company is planning on dropping their popular yet older handheld, it’s still selling after all.

“We’ll continue to support our 3DS family of systems as long as there is demand,” Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser said in a statement to Verge.

While the Switch Lite will retail for a $199.99 MSRP, a hundred dollars cheaper than the base Switch model, the New Nintendo 3DS XL is also $199.99. For a cheaper option, though, there is the 2DS, which only costs $79.99. Until they release an even cheaper Switch model, the 3DS/2DS will likely stay.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is launching on September 20th, worldwide.
