While fans have been waiting literal years, Hideaki Anno and Studio Khara have finally revealed a new trailer for Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 alongside a premiere date for the movie.

Featured above, the short but new teaser trailer shows off the fourth and final movie in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy. A premiere date was also confirmed for Japan – June 20th of 2020.

If you’re confused on where this movie sits in relation to the original anime series, the movies are essentially a reinterpretation of the series. The previous movies include: Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.

The new movie series follows the anime for the most part in the beginning, however it reportedly changes things up a bit, and promises a better ending with the final film.
