New Easy Mode Mod for Sekiro Lets You Cheat Both Yourself and the Game

While some game journalists begged for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to have an easy mode (something we gave our own rebuttal on), their prayers were not answered by From Software.

When one journalist admitted to finishing the game with cheats, it lead to widespread scorn, and even a meme quickly picked up by video game franchise social media accounts on Twitter and voice actors (including Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, XCOM, and even Cam Clarke reprising his role as Liquid Snake). Now those journalists have some relief, albeit with an unofficial easy mode mod.

“Sekiro the Easy” increases the player’s attack, defense, and stamina. In addition it removes being able to die by the Terror status effect, increases item drop rate and weapon buff time, grants infinite Spirit Emblems, removes fall damage, grants infinite time for Puppeteer Ninjustsu, and modifies enemy stats in New Game 2+.

You can download the mod via Mod Nexus, and view videos of the mod in action above and below.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is now available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review for the game here (we love it and recommend it!).
