Insurgency: Sandstorm Gets New Update, Free Weekend

New World Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have released the next big update for Insurgency: Sandstorm.

Update 1.3 adds an indoor map called Ministry, two new sights (the MRO and MARS), two new guns (the QBZ-03 for the Insurgents and the VHS-2 for Security forces), the Frenzy Arcade Co-Op mode, and numerous other tweaks and optimization fixes that you can read about here. A new accolades trailer was also released, which you can find above.

The developers also recently released a development roadmap for the rest of 2019. Some things players can look forward to include two new maps, night variants of all maps, modding tools, several new modes, more cosmetic items, the Tavor 7 and AS VAL rifles, and loads of attachments, like quick reload magazines, the Masterkey under-barrel shotgun, variable sights, and more.


Finally, the game will be holding a free weekend event later this week, starting on June 20th and ending on June 24th.
