Anti-Personnel ODM Action Trailers for Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle

Koei Tecmo Games have released new trailers showing off gameplay for Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle.

These “Anti-Personnel ODM Action” trailers focus on combat against other humans, as opposed to the eponymous titans. You can view them above and below.

In case you missed our prior coverage, the game is an expanded version of Attack on Titan 2 which launched in March 2018. Along with the “Wall Reclamation” mode, we now know players can create their own corp and recover land outside of the walls in Territory Recover mode.

“As players start, they’ll be able to customize their corps’ name and emblem; as well as assign a commander from any of the game’s playable characters – including their custom-made Scout from ATTACK ON TITAN 2. Territory Recovery Mode features two rounds. The first is a ‘Base’ phase where players can freely roam around to socialize with allies, use materials to prepare and upgrade equipment, and prepare themselves for the battle ahead. Once that phase is complete, the ‘Outer Campaign’ phase begins; Scouts will venture outside of the walls in this thrilling section in the hopes to claim land back for humanity.”

Players will also have new gear for their Scouts. Along with the standard Slashing Gear for their ODM, they can also use Shooting Gear which (as you may have guessed) replaces the blades with guns. “Shooting Gear provides the choice between One-Handed Attacks, allowing for easy targeting and evasion of Titan parts in exchange for faster gas consumption and lower damage attacks, or Two-Handed Attacks which deal massive damage while making it harder to evade incoming hits.”

Another new piece of gear is the “a revolutionary weapon in the fight against the Titans; the Thunder Spear, which sports the greatest power in their arsenal and can completely wipe one out in a single blow.”

If you purchase the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One during the first month of the game’s launch, you will gain new costumes. “Queen of Historia” for Christina, “Young Male Coat” for Kenny, “Plain Clothes (Underground City)” for Levi and “One-piece Dress” costume for Mikasa. In addition, players will unlock Kenny and Zeke early.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle will launch July 5th in North America and Europe for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Owners of the original Attack on Titan 2 can get the “Final Battle Upgrade Pack” as paid downloadable content.

Attack on Titan 2 is currently available for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).
