While Blue Byte’s latest in the long-running Anno series, Anno 1800, has been set for a Steam release for some time – the game will be removed from Steam and made exclusive to the Epic Games Store upon its release.

When the game launches next month, it will be removed from its Steam page and then be only available via the Epic Games Store. Valve noted the “publisher has assured us that all prior sales of the game on Steam will be fulfilled on Steam.”

They added, “Steam owners will be able to access the game and any future updates or DLC through Steam.” So, in essence you’ll need to pre-purchase the Steam version before its delisted at launch, otherwise you’re stuck with the Epic Games Store.

Anno 1800 is set for an April 16th release for Windows PC.
