Cuphead Gets a Switch Port on April 18

Publisher Microsoft and developer Studio MDHR have announced a Nintendo Switch port for Cuphead.

The beloved run-and-gun shooter is coming to the hybrid console on April 18th, for $19.99 USD/$25.99CAD/£16.99/19.99€. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the Switch port.

A big free update for the game is launching for all platforms on the same day, which includes fan-requested features like playable Mugman in single-player, all-new fully animated cutscenes, never seen before art and fight intros, a bunch of bug fixes, ten additional languages, and more secrets to uncover. You can read the full list of changes here.

Here’s a brief rundown on the game:

Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

Play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil!

Cuphead is now available for Windows PC, Mac (both via Steam), and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we recommend it with our highest praise!).
