Overcooked! 2 Celebrates Chinese New Year in Latest Update

Ghost Town Games and Team17 Digital have released a new update for Overcooked! 2.

This free update adds a new map, kitchens, recipes, and chefs, all themed around Chinese New Year. The update also adds a Survival Mode, where each dish you serve adds precious seconds to the clock. You can read more here, and check out the latest trailer above.

Here’s a rundown of the new content:

Chinese New Year Update!

As the Onion Kingdom sizzles with celebration for Chinese New Year, the Onion King would like to wish all you valiant chefs a year filled with joy, prosperity and plentiful platefuls. And what better way to celebrate than by grabbing your nearest and dearest and preparing to chop, cook, serve (and maybe shout) your way through seven succulent new levels!
Fruit platters are on the menu and it’s getting even hotter in the kitchen…is it because the noodles are burning? Or are our two fiery new chefs turning up the heat? Introducing…

Dragon Chef! Service is scorching when this zesty chef is fired up and ready to go! Be warned though, when the kitchen reaches boiling point, they’re known to get hot headed!

Zodiac Pig Chef! An image of culinary class with the skills to match, this dazzling chef is sure to outclass the competition!

Overcooked! 2 is available on Windows PC, Mac, Linux (all via Steam), PS4, Switch, and Xbox One for $24.99.
